Pioneer Stories: Peter Burress
When Peter Burress considered Carroll University, he had a clear goal in mind: to become a physical therapist. He visited several Colleges before stepping on Main Lawn, but once he did, his decision was made.
Pioneer Stories: Emina Halilovic
The journey to Carroll from the battle-scarred streets of the small town in Bosnia where Emina was born has been long and incredible. The young refugee family settled in Waukesha and slowly began rebuilding their lives.

Sage Thomas was just ten years old when her skin suddenly broke out in a rash and began bruising at the slightest touch. Hospital trips followed, then a diagnosis of aplastic anemia, a deadly disease of the blood stem cells that reside in bone marrow.
